Broadway Media Acquires BodyMics

Broadway Media has acquired BodyMics, marking a significant expansion of its Stage Gear audiovisual division. This move comes as Rod Reilly's decision to pass the torch to Broadway Media after 17 years of exemplary leadership at BodyMics.

Quentin Sanford, President of Broadway Media, acknowledged the unique challenges faced by amateur theatre productions, emphasizing the necessity for affordable technology rentals solutions. Sanford stated "Producing community and school theatre involves inherent technical and budgetary challenges. Very few, if any, have budgets on par with Broadway producers. BodyMics is the type of creative thinking that will especially benefit our customers. The acquisition of BodyMics is a significant milestone for Broadway Media. We’re thrilled to carry forward Rod’s legacy of innovation and service."

Rod Reilly, the founder of BodyMics, introduced the plug-and-play solution in 2007, swiftly establishing it as a market-leading product. Now part of the Stage Gear division of Broadway Media, the BodyMics Wireless Microphone Systems are a pre-racked wireless system featuring cutting-edge audio technology from brands like Shure, Sennheiser, Lectrosonics, and Creative Audio Technology. Each rental package includes wireless receivers, power supply, antennas, and professional grade theatre microphones with transmitters, ensuring a seamless and professional audio experience.

Reilly emphasizes the transformative impact of BodyMics wireless systems, stating, “For nearly two decades, local theatre producers staging Broadway's most technically demanding new musicals have found invaluable support in BodyMics Wireless Systems. Integrating BodyMics into Stage Gear will enhance Broadway Media’s ability to support its nationwide theatre community."

Broadway Media's platform, encompassing diverse digital resources and the Stage Gear hardware rental line, is designed to simplify and make high production value accessible. The recent addition of BodyMics aligns with this vision. Sanford underscores, "At Broadway Media, we are dedicated to continuous investment in developing and embracing new technologies for the theatre community. Through close collaboration with theatre-makers of every scale, we actively identify and address challenges in the production process. The expansion of our Stage Gear division to incorporate BodyMics exemplifies our commitment to enhancing support for producing theatre"

Starting February 15th, 2024, Broadway Media will accept orders for BodyMics systems, ensuring ongoing support and service for existing rentals. Explore BodyMics by Stage Gear on the Broadway Media website at www.broadwaymedia.com.
